How do you measure up?
Over the weekend, I was reading some blog posts by another photographer, Deb Schwedhelm, regarding some other amazing photographers. The projects shared with the world were touching to say the least… take a look at her blog to read more.
We live in a crazy world. It seems everyone is looking for someone or something to help change the way it is, to make it better. BUT what are we doing ourselves to make it better? Change doesn’t have to be GRAND jesters of charity or kindness. In my opinion, it starts by looking in the mirror and asking ourselves if we are behaving and living the way which leads us to the changes we want to see in the world?
Be the change you want to see in the world. -Ghandi
I have this saying on a board in my bedroom, so when I go to bed I read it, when I wake up I read it, when I put clothes away I read it… It’s a reminder to myself to keep moving forward to where I want the world to be. The words help remind me to teach my kids to be good people. I’m not saying I don’t do wrong, I do…ask my family. I tell my girls, “you don’t have to be perfect, I only expect you to be honest, try hard and do what you love.” If there were more people who tried hard, were honest, and did what they loved maybe the world would be a better place.
