Everything’s Peachy

This morning another photographer linked a post about a blogger who blogged about the perfect family. Whew ! Reading the bloggers words made me think… On my blog I try to be as honest and real as I can. Even if you follow me on Facebook or any other social network, I try to be authentic in my words.

Life isn’t perfect, I’m not perfect, my family isn’t perfect, I don’t want anyone to think I think it is perfect. Everyday there are fits of crying, hair pulling, temper tantrums and that’s just by me! 😉 I love my family, yet they drive me crazy. To exhibit the crazy behavior which occurs on a daily basis, usually at meal time, I’ve included some photos of H. at lunch. She didn’t want to eat her peach “it looks gross!”

She did everything she could not to eat half of a peach! The behavior drives me mad. We have so many fights over fruit and vegetables, I hate food. There is nothing enjoyable about eating now that kids are around. Most of the time I don’t even taste my food because I’m too frustrated trying to get the girls to stop whining. Yes, they’ve had their food taken away, sent to their rooms, and told to sit until it’s all gone. They’re a work in progress, not perfect.

Hopefully, this made you giggle a little or think “happens in my house too.” The more real life we share the more we realize we’re all the same the more we start to relax and enjoy what comes our way. For me, I embrace and capture such moments. When the girls are older I have video and pictures of them having their tantrums to show their children… Karma. Grandparents can do that kind of stuff right? 😉

Let YOUR light shine,

Kim

Spinich… that’s what you wouldn’t eat, no way, no how!! Your older brothers learned to love spinich but not you. The pictures of H. could be you. I was luckier though, you ate most other things. We didn’t have the fight very often. In twenty years or so you will just smile and give the grandkids cookies.ReplyCancel

I remember spitting spinach into my milk cup. Hated canned green beans too. 🙂ReplyCancel
